More Dirt About Yourself:
Descended from Italian mobsters, Baterin' Gram spent her childhood brawling on the mean streets of Detroit. She first set foot inside a roller rink in 1965 and fell in love - with quad skating. She gave up street fighting for skating, but never quite outgrew her pugilistic ways. In her salad days, Batterin' Gram checked out the quads on the young lads on the circuit while she kicked her opponents' butts. She managed to pile up a fine mess of hardware, including Great Lakes Regional Champion in the Masters 2-Woman Relay along with her partner in crime, Nurse Linda.
Being a grandma of 7 hasn't slowed this old roller down. Gram still tears it up in quad racing, recently winning several silver and bronze medals at the US Nationals. As if that wasn't enough, now Gram has discovered a new love - Roller Derby! As a referee, she puts her skating skills on the line as she keeps roller girls inside the narrow track. But old habits die hard. Gram still checks out quads on the boys, especially when a wolf whistle comes her way. Gram's still fighting - for truth, justice, Roller Derby, and fabulous quads!
